The Technology that underpins the Oceantronic© system design has been developed to enable large commercial quantities of live seafood products to be stored in a perfectly healthy condition with limited space.
The environment created by the system emulates the ocean’s natural ecosystem. Through the injection of creative engineering, the water environment can hold up to 220kg of live product per cubic metre of water space. Water Quality is maintained perfectly through the Super-Bacteria Culture that is enhanced through efficient system design. The saltwater in the tank is as pristine as the seawater in the ocean. (Proven through Government DPI tests).
NO WATER CHANGES ARE REQUIRED
Our most recognised and endorsed feature is that no water changes are required. If you use anything but Austmarine, then you are guaranteed to be wasting money on water changes, as no other tank manufacturer can make our claim. The purchase of the seawater and the cost of re-refrigerating the new water is an expensive exercise. Austmarine patented systems are uniquely engineered so all organic and inorganic waste is removed from the system; hence there is no requirement to change the water.
HIGH HOLDING & HIGH THROUGHPUT CAPACITIES
To maintain the pristine healthy condition of the seawater, three levels of filtration are employed that remove the inorganic matter (sand/mud), organic waste (ammonia) from the species, and the protein (maintains crystal clear water). The Austmarine system has duplicated the oceans natural ecosystem, but through our unique engineering, we have turbo boosted its biological efficiency. The Oceantronic© systems boast a holding capacity of up to 220kg/m3/day, which is up to five times that of our competitors equipment. Our Water Injection Technique causes the water environment to be massively aerated, and simultaneously removing excess gases, e.g., carbon dioxide and nitrogen. This facilitates the ability to literally pack-full the tanks with Live Product.
ENERGY SMART DESIGN
The entire system is Vapour Sealed Insulated, making your electrical consumption very low. There are enormous differences between Austmarine and other brands in power consumption. An example of running cost is the MC1000 on full load each day at water temperature 10°C and ambient 30°C – costs $6/day to operate, whereas our competitors cost approx $35/day at 22°C water temperature.
The refrigeration plant is designed for seawater application and will not react with seawater (unlike titanium and stainless steel). Specially designed condensers provide economical running cost. All copper pipes in the condensing unit are specially sealed against corrosion.
NO WEIGHT LOSS FOR SIX WEEKS AND NO FEEDING REQUIRED
The combination of the pristine water quality and the unique refrigeration system allows the live product to hibernate in the water environment for up to six weeks in our Retail Tanks and 3 months in our Bulk Holding Tanks before they will begin to lose weight.
INTELLIGENT MONITORING SYSTEM
The electrical system in the Austmarine tank models is a culmination of State of the Art electronics. All electrical components are water-proof IP67 rated for complete safety. Complete control of the system is available from one control panel, which includes thermostat control, indicators and alarms.
LOW MAINTENANCE
With no water changes required, the only real maintenance required is preventative maintenance, which can be carried out by the operator or a trained Austmarine technician.
